I found your blog through Gail's e-mail to the Beach High class of 67 group.

I am proud to say that I was your classmate going back to Biscayne Elementary. That was when I was that awkward kid that had just immigrated from Cuba.

I love your writing. Keep up the good work!

I remember you as that awkward kid at least as far back as Nautilus (since I was at North Beach) and also remember you and Debbie have one of the enduring and only marriages between people in our class. Congratulations on that (quite an accomplishment in my book) and thank you so much for your words here.

Hi Daryl,
I read Gail's email and then your blog and am very pleased to read how well you are doing - handling life's challenges with love and humor.
Where are you living now? (I'm sure it is somewhere in your blog)
I am in Hendersonville, NC - a great little town in the mountains.

Hope you send a return "Hi",

Hi Ruth, I'm in California, and it seems as if half the people who used to live in Miami are now living in North Carolina with you. I understand why after passing through a few years ago. Glad to hear you're well, and thanks for the comment--a brave soul.

Welcome

  • I started this blog in honor of all the times I've said: "I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS" in the course of my life as a mother, breast cancer survivor, artist and TV journalist. My goal is to share the big and little things we all care about-- hopefully with humanity and humor. ------- DARRYLE POLLACK
