Keep asking, honey! Obviously, this is a GRAND technique that works for you....!

Ron

Simply beautiful Darryle. I thoroughly enjoy your writing. I, for one, want you to achieve at least one more milestone: Write a book, so the whole world can enjoy what all your blogmates are now so lucky to savor: a beautiful family headed by a really special mother (soon grandmother) and wife, who thoroughly adores, admires and respects her children (I have a feeling you came from the same type of family). Thanks again for sharing all your joys as well as your trials and tribulations with us.

Darryle

Ron, what a beautiful and thoughtful message--that helps let me know my words are landing somewhere--and just where I most hope--in the hearts of people like you. I truly appreciate it. Also not sure about the accuracy of your prediction about me becoming a grandmother-- soon is highly unlikely, but someday would be nice..

Deborah

And I thought maybe Ron knew something you hadn't yet shared with the whole blogosphere. Me, I've been telling my daughters since they were 12 that I wanted to be a young grandmother. It didn't help. They're still torturing me with their absence of offspring. (At least one bore me a furchild, who never tells me he hates me when I say "No!", and only begs for food, not a beemer.)

As for where were the guys who knew their way around a kitchen, you seem to have forgotten the hippie guys--hirsute, skinny, pot-breath--they added tofu and green pepper to every casserole. Daniel and his roommates have apparently really raised the bar!

Welcome

  • I started this blog in honor of all the times I've said: "I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS" in the course of my life as a mother, breast cancer survivor, artist and TV journalist. My goal is to share the big and little things we all care about-- hopefully with humanity and humor. ------- DARRYLE POLLACK
